    These sessions are for under 5's, primarily aimed at 3-5 years but all under 5's are welcome to join in.

    If you love flowers, you will love what you can do at a flower club. We welcome visitors, especially visitors and those new to the area and we will make every effort to welcome you. Wantage flower club has younger members too!

    You will see Yvonne Tan create amazing flower arrangements all are raffled at the end of the evening!

    A new committee has added further events throughout the year including a NEW series of workshops on 4th Wednesdays of the month. You will find us at Wantage Flower Club, Grove Extravaganza and some of our members will be competing at flower shows around the country including the Blenheim Palace Flower Show. You can be as involved as you like as there are further events held by the BB&O area & by NAFAS. You can even go on holiday in the UK, Europe & next year India for the world flower show...

    Wantage flower club membership is only £45 which includes June, July, September, October & November demonstrations, please note, this does not include workshops.
    Visitors £10 to see one area demonstrator, £12 for a National Demonstrator, International Demonstrator (price to be announced.)

This will show you what happens at our flower club from relaxing and enjoying leading flower arranging demonstrators showing how to create amazing designs on the 3rd Tuesday of the month 7pm for 7.30pm start - 10pm, to trying our NEW flower workshops every 4th Wednesday of the month 7pm - 9pm at Loyd Lindsay Rooms in Ardington. We are off on a day trip with Oxford flower club by coach to the London Design Centre to see the NAFAS Diamond Anniversary National Show. We are holding a quiz at Grove Village Hall in August to raise funds for the flower club.

Neill Taylor will guide us through his successful LRPS panel which gained him his Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society, and after the break Peter Thompson will take us through his successful application for the CPAGB (Credit of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain).

    We look forward to a great evening.

    From how to hold a hook and different sizes of hooks and wools to the basic stitches. By the end of this course you will be crocheting in rows and in rounds, creating granny squares and reading basic patterns.

  • Flower Demonstration: Flights of Fancy BB&O demonstrator Jackie Page

    If you love flowers, you will love what you can do at a flower club. We welcome visitors, especially visitors and those new to the area and we will make every effort to welcome you. Wantage flower club has younger members too!

    You will see amazing prize winning BB&O demonstrator Jackie Page create beautiful flower arrangements which are raffled at the end of the evening!

    There is also a competition that you can enter with Natural Plant Material called What No Oasis! you can glean from the title that no oasis/floral foam can be used in the design.

    This years new committee has added further events throughout the year including a NEW series of workshops on 4th Wednesdays of the month. You will find us at Wantage Carnival, Grove Extravaganza and some of our members will be competing at flower shows around the country including the Blenheim Palace Flower Show coming up. Please visit the show and look in the BB&O area tent containing a large variety of flower arrangements in competition entries. Prizes are given out on the Sunday of the flower show. You can be as involved as you like as there are further events held by the BB&O area & by NAFAS. You can even go on holiday in the UK, Europe & next year India for the world flower show...

    Wantage flower club membership is only £45 which includes June, July, September, October & November demonstrations, please note, this does not include workshops.

This will show you what happens at our flower club from relaxing and enjoying leading flower arranging demonstrators showing how to create amazing designs on the 3rd Tuesday of the month 7pm for 7.30pm start - 10pm, to trying our NEW flower workshops every 4th Wednesday of the month 7pm - 9pm at Loyd Lindsay Rooms in Ardington. We are off on a day trip with Oxford flower club by coach to the London Design Centre to see the NAFAS Diamond Anniversary National Show. We are also holding a cheese and wine quiz at Grove Village Hall in August to raise funds for the flower club.

  • Photography Talk by David Castle - 'Wantage Town and Countryside from the Past'

    Wantage Camera Club is pleased to announce that David Castle will today talk about 'Wantage Town and Countryside from the Past’. David's farming family have lived and worked in Wantage for hundreds of years, and his talk draws on a wealth of family history as well as general information about Wantage and the surrounding area. As a long-standing member of the camera club David has assembled his own and other photographic material into ten audio-visual sequences, and we look forward to a fascinating story about this local area through the ages.

    A limited number of tickets will be on sale for this event. In advance from the Vale and Downland Museum, 19 Church Street, Wantage, OX12 8BL. Any remaining tickets will be available at the venue on the night. The entrance fee of £5 includes tea or coffee, and a biscuit.
