    February 10, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Mix Community Space, 15 Mill St, Wantage OX12 9AB, UK

Everybody likes a clean home but over the last few decades, our use of synthetic, commercial chemicals around the home has skyrocketed. It's big business and marketing execs are paid a lot of money to make us believe that we need all these nasty chemicals in our homes to keep them squeaky clean and germ-free. But as their use has increased, so has the incidence of chronic disease - surely the opposite of what they have led us to believe. More and more research is showing that these commercial cleaning products have many negative side effects on our health and that there is such a thing as 'too clean'!
Come and learn about what nasties to avoid in shop bought products, a bit of geekery learning some basic chemistry and then time to get your hands 'dirty' learning how to make your very own earth and human-friendly cleaning products! You can take away your makes and you will be provided with recipe cards for all the different products you can start to make at home! Better for your purse, better for your bodies and better for the planet ♥

We will be making toilet bombs, general purpose sprays, sink scrubs and more.

£25 per person (£5 discount if also attending Make your own body care products workshop)
    To book contact Jo: 07768 767787 / joharvey100@gmail.com

  • Wantage Camera Club Evening

    February 19, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Methodist Church Hall, Newbury Street, Wantage, OX12 8DA

This evening club members can bring in images they might like to enter into competitions later this year. It will be an opportunity to receive help and guidance from the floor on ways to improve them, and avoid those feelings of 'why didn't I think of that myself before handing in my image' on competition nights.

If you're interested in photography this is an excellent opportunity to find out what constitutes a good image and how you go about achieving it.

For more information about the club's programme see http://wantagecameraclub.co.uk/.

All visitors very welcome. The visitor fee is £3 at the door. Doors open at 7 pm. Nearest parking: The Beacon, Portway, Wantage, OX12 9BU, with entrance to the church hall via Church Street.
