Members of 1st Hanney, 1st Grove and 2nd Grove Guides spent 6 days during the summer holidays at Foxlease, in the New Forest, a Girlguiding UK Training & Activitiy centre.

27 guides attended, 7 young leaders and 8 adults. They camped and took part in Tree climb, Zip wire, kayaking and either high or low ropes courses. A visit to the theme park, Paultons Park, was also included.

The guides slept in tents and helped with duties to collect wood and water, help with cooking and maintaining healthy standards at the camp by cleaning etc.

The theme was United Kingdom and Northern Ireland and meals included bangers and mash, welsh cakes, and potato cakes.

The Young leaders organised a Wide game, where the guides had to save the world by building a molecule but in order to do this they had to complete a number of tasks to obtain all the pieces. Tasks included a string trail, gathering a potion and decoding a message.

At the same time 4th Grove Brownies and 2 Hanney Brownies stayed in the Barn for their pack holiday, they then joined the guides under canvas for their last night, joining in a camp fire.
