Volunteer Walk leaders are needed to help lead walks in and around Grove. These weekly walks will last for about 30-40 minutes on a weekday morning. We do not need super fit people just those who enjoy walking and want to get out for gentle exercise with a sociable group of walkers.
Full training as a walk leader would be provided which will include, risk assessing possible routes for walking, learning about the health benefits of walking and how to manage a group of people to keep the walk safe for all abilities.
So if you enjoy the health benefits of regular walking and would like to share that with others we would be pleased to hear from you. Health Walks aim to cater for all abilities but in particular people who need to take gentle exercise and want to get fitter again after an illness or if coping with an ongoing health problem.
