The pub team is led by Wantage local and general manager, Barrie Grant, his partner, Pamela Grant, and son, Ross Grant.
Barrie said: “The Lord Nelson is at the heart of the Wantage community, so we are excited to be able to offer a place where locals can enjoy a drink or meal in enhanced surroundings.
“I grew up in Wantage, so it’s great to return to my roots, especially with my family in tow.
“The opening was a real success, with great feedback from guests on the delicious menu and fantastic interior. We look forward to welcoming more guests in the coming weeks!”
Guests can enjoy two meals for £10.49 all day Monday-Saturday, including favourites such as Beef and Ale Pie, Lasagne and Hunter’s Chicken.
