Looks like the council has stopped this scheme
Wantage Chamber of Commerce, District and Town Council have put their heads together and have come up with a fantastic low-cost loyalty card scheme. Shops and businesses in Wantage are being given the chance to join a low-cost town-wide loyalty card scheme.
Experience shows that loyalty card schemes combined with publicity campaigns and local community events encourage local people to support the town’s wide and growing range of independent shops.
All businesses who want to sign up to the loyalty card scheme and take advantage of the extra free publicity and support must do so before 17 October 2011. All should contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The scheme will be free to businesses to set up and run. The only cost being their loyalty offer.
Linda Hatter who is Vice Chairman of Wantage Chamber says “This is a great opportunity for independents to reward our loyal customers and encourage people who don’t normally shop in the town to do so. Shoppers will pay £2 for the card to help pay for the costs of running the scheme with the rest going to support local community projects and charities. Independent businesses must sign up by the 17th October to be included in the free town-wide brochure that will be distributed to every household in Wantage and Grove”.
